A man survived a jump off the roof of a basketball court in Pasay City on Friday morning.
Initial reports from the Pasay City police station disclosed that the still unidentified man was seen climbing to the roof of a basketball court in Barangay 40 Zone 5 around 7:15 a.m.
Police said that personnel from the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) and barangay officials tried to stop the man from jumping, but he refused to budge and eventually jumped after two hours of negotiation.
Contrary to several reports, police said that the man did not slash his wrist before the incident.
The man was then brought to Pasay General Hospital, where he is now in stable condition.
