Dino Chua named TOYM 2019 awardee for tourism

SkyJet Airlines President Dino Reyes-Chua was named as one of the Ten Outstanding Young Men of the Philippines for Tourism. The awarding ceremony was held at the Centennial Hall of Manila Hotel last December 13, 2019. IMG_1510 JCI Philippines and TOYM Foundation cited his significant contributions on tourism development by serving the underserved and by discovering the undiscovered islands around the Philippines. SkyJet Airlines also played a big role in the relief operations during Typhoon Yolanda in Coron, Palawan and the recent earthquake that struck Batanes island. Dino Reyes-Chua spearheaded several relief operations and delivered financial assistance to devastated areas in Batanes as well as the signing of a memorandum of agreement with the provincial government of Batanes to fly all the relief goods from Manila to Batanes for free. SkyJet Airlines also launched many ‘Firsts’ like the first direct flight to Siargao island and the first direct flight to Camiguin island. Record showed that because of the direct flights to these hard to reach island destinations, the tourist arrivals went upto ten times higher than the previous years. The Board of Judges for this year’s Ten Outstanding Young Men are Manila Mayor Francisco “ISKO” Moreno, Supreme Court Justice Estella Bernabe, Senator Risa Hontiveros, Maynilad President and CEO Ramoncito Fernandez and National Youth Commission Chair Ryan Enriquez. Other TOYM 2019 awardees are Congressman Alfred Vargas for Public Service, Atom Araullo for Journalism , Zia Rahman Adiong for Government Service , CasianoChoresca Jr. for Fisheries and Aquaculture, Marc Paul Lopez for Medicine, AisaMijeno for Science and Technology, Abellana Reynaldo for Music , Gerardo Francisco Jr. for Arts, Glenn Fernandez for Disaster Risk Reduction. TOYM is celebrating its 60th year anniversary with its theme “Celebrating excellence and inspiring Young Filipinos for 60 years!”
