PhilHealth lauds Makati City for having highest enrolment in 'PhilHealth ng Masa' in NCR-South

The local government unit (LGU) of Makati City was given a plaque of appreciation as it was hailed by the Philippine Health Insurance Corporation (PhilHealth) for having the highest Sponsored Program enrolment for its "PhilHealth ng Masa" program in the National Capital Region (NCR)-South.

Makati has been able to maintain around 22, 000 active PhilHealth ng Masa members, with 8,807 renewals registered since October 1 to November 28 this year, Makati Social Welfare Department (MSWD) records showed.
The plaque of appreciation for Makati’s “extraordinary support to the fulfillment of the thrust of the National Health Insurance Program” was handed during the LGU Engagement ceremony held at Marquis Event Place, Bonifacio Global City.
Mayor Abigail “Abby” Binay thanked the PhilHeal for the recognition it has given the Makati City LGU.
She also lauded the PhilHealth Services Section of the MSWD for a job well done.
“We are grateful to PhilHealth for this recognition, and we assure you of our unstinting support for the proper implementation of the PhilHealth ng Masa Program in the city,” said Binay in a statement.
“Congratulations to the MSWD PhilHeath Section for its efficient performance that has earned this recognition for our city. We must also give credit to Makatizens for their active participation in the program.”
On the other hand, the mayor called on Makati residents renew their membership with PhilHealth ng Masa annually so that they, together with their dependents, can continuously access quality health care and other health benefits under the program.
The renewal of expired PhilHealth ng Masa membership, according to her, began on October 1 and will end on Dec. 27, 2019.
The NCR-South area covers the cities of Makati, Pasay, Taguig, Muntinlupa, Parañaque, Pasig Las Piñas, and the Municipality of Pateros.
The benefits PhilHealth members and their dependents are Inpatient Care Benefits, Maternity Benefits including Newborn Care Package, Cataract Package, and Z Benefit Package, among others.
The Makati LGU said the requirements for PhilHealth ng Masa renewal are latest COMELEC Voter’s Certificate; Profiling from barangay health center; and Member Data Record (MDR) 2019 or Acknowledgment Receipt 2019.
“For new applicants, the requirements include Member Data Record (MDR)/No record slip (from PhilHealth Reposo); Latest Comelec Certification; Barangay Certificate of Indigency; Marriage Contract (if married); and Birth Certificate of children 20 years old and below (single, jobless, differently-abled).”
"New applicants are also asked to submit additional requirements. For emancipated individual or solo parent 20 years old and below: Pre-natal Record. For single with dependent: Birth certificate of dependent," it added.
