Cashalo wins Best Fintech Startup at this year's PH Rice Bowl Startup Awards

Cashalo, a fintech platform that provides access to purpose-built financial services for millions of unbanked and underserved Filipinos, bagged the award for Best Fintech Startup at the Philippine Rice Bowl Startup Awards 2019. The best fintech award celebrates the startup that has exponentially grown and delivered innovative, impactful financial services over the last year.

Organized by New Entrepreneurs Foundation, a non-profit organization creating strategic developmental programs for aspiring entrepreneurs, the Philippine Rice Bowl Startup Awards is the national leg of the ASEAN-wide program that recognizes excellence and innovation in startups across the region.

As the Best Fintech Startup in the Philippines, Cashalo will represent the country in the regional-level competition to be participated by other winners from ASEAN countries in January 2020 with contenders hailing from Brunei, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, and Vietnam. The ASEAN Rice Bowl Startup Awards is also the official ticket to participate in the Global Startup Awards, the global-level startup competition which recognizes entrepreneurial talents and empowers them to further boost their local startup ecosystems.

Since launching in the middle of last year, Cashalo continues its mission of creating a more financially-inclusive future for all Filipinos. As of today, the Cashalo app has gained more than five million downloads with over two million customers served nationwide.
