The St. Luke’s Medical Center (SLMC) clarified on Tuesday that the doctor in the viral road rage incident is not affiliated with them.
"We, at St. Luke’s Medical Center (SLMC), wish to clarify that the alleged doctor, Dr. Tomas Mendez, is currently not connected with the hospital or any company that is affiliated with SLMC," the SLMC said in a statement.
SLMC also clarified that Mendez was a ENT resident trainee and was never a part of St. Luke's roster of practicing physicians.
In the videos circulated online, Mendez was caught yelling at another driver whom he accused of almost hitting his car and blocking his way.
"Recognized as the leading and most respected healthcare institution in the Philippines, St. Luke's will never condone this type of behavior," SLMC said.
