Eton Properties Philippines announced the appointment of Ms. Karlu Tan Say as its new Chief Operating Officer. Ms. Say will steer the real estate arm of the Lucio Tan Group where she concurrently serves as a Director and Head of Human Resources. The appointment was made by Eton Properties Chairman Dr. Lucio C. Tan. In a recent town hall meeting of the company, Ms. Say expressed her vision for Eton Properties as its new COO: “Let us enable Eton to take a quantum leap to become the most improved and most efficient real estate developer in the country.” Further, she laid down three growth priorities that the company will take under her leadership which are to increase leasing revenue; increase the land values of Eton City in Sta. Rosa, Laguna and Eton Centris in Quezon City; and convert land bank assets into cash flow. Ms. Say has 20 years of management experience in the property, human resources, trading and acquisitions, and service industries. She is a Founding Director and Board Member of Dong-A Pharma Phils., Inc., a distributor of fast moving consumer goods. She started her career as an Account Executive for Banquet Sales at Century Park Hotel. She also worked as a Purchaser of Sterling Department Store Midway Trading Corporation in San Francisco, California. Ms. Say is a Management degree holder from the Ateneo de Manila University. She went on to achieve being a Magna Cum Laude in Interior Design from the Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising in San Francisco, California.
