Spa raided; 10 women rescued

CAMP GEN. PANTALEON GARCIA, IMUS, Cavite – Some 10 women were rescued early Thursday morning in a raid at a massage spa that has been suspected as a prostitution den, at the Aguinaldo Highway in Barangay Panapaan IV, Bacoor City.

The city police Special Weapons and Tactics (SWAT) team swooped down on the Kingtop Massage Health Club and Spa on Kilometer 17 area after an entrapment was conducted.

The team, who was accompanied by representatives of the City Social Welfare and Development Office (CSWDO), arrested the spa’s cashier and a roomboy. Major Ruben Ballera Jr., SWAT team leader, reported that the spa’s owner was not in the area during the operation.

Lieutenant Colonel Vicente S. Cabatingan, Bacoor police chief ordered the operation acting on concerned residents’ complaints. The rescued women were turned over to the CSWDO.
