By Jean Fernando The Pasay City police is now conducting a review of CCTV footages, particularly those installed at establishments located at the Pasay Rotonda, as part of its investigation on the nine reported missing youths in the city. Pasay City map (WIKIPEDIA/ MANILA BULLETIN) According to Pasay City Police Chief Colonel Bernard Yang, out of the nine youths reported missing, the families of five of those missing have officially reported their disappearance to the police. “Out of the nine na sinasabing nawawala, lima po doon sa mga kabataang nawawala nagsipag-report na po ang kanilang mga magulang sa aming himpilan. Nagba-backtrack tayo para makuha ang CCTV footage,” Yang said. (Out of nine youths that were reportedly missing, parents of five already reported to the police. We are also conducting backtracking to get a copy of the CCTV). Yang said that they were also finished taking the statements from the family of the missing persons, whose ages range from 16 to 22 years old. He also encouraged the families of the four other missing persons to officially report their disappearance to the police. “Ako ay nananawagan na rin sa mga magulang ng ibang nawawala na pumunta na rin sa ating himpilan para makuhanan ng salaysay upang patuloy po kaming makapagimbestiga,” Yang said. (I am encouraging the parents of the other missing youth to report to the police so that we could their statements to for the investigation we conducting). It can be recalled that last Monday, Mayor Emi Calixto-Rubiano ordered the local police to look into reports of abduction in the city, particularly in the vicinity of Pasay Rotonda, after rumors circulated on social media about abduction incidents in the area.
