Lacson sees nothing wrong if Bong Revilla returns to show business

(CZAR DANCEL / MANILA BULLETIN FILE PHOTO) Lacson, in a tweet on Friday, said any lawmaker can return to his or her first profession as long as there would be no conflict of interest with his job as a legislator. "Nothing wrong for a legislator to practice his original profession, as long as conflict of interest does not get in the way, in which case, a full disclosure must be made," he wrote. Lacson was reacting to Revilla's statement earlier addressing criticisms against his reported return to television. Revilla maintained that he knew his priorities and remains committed with his mandate as a senator. But he also pointed out that there was no law prohibiting a lawmaker from joining show business. "Wala pong batas na nagbabawal sa pag-aartista. Ito ay isang marangal na trabaho na bumuhay at bumubuhay sa pamilya ko (There is no law prohibiting an elected official from acting. Acting is a decent that sustained and is still sustaining my family)," said Revilla, who was an actor before joining politics. "Haters are going to hate, and bashers are going to bash.
