1 hurt in Galas public market fire

By Jhon Aldrin Casinas A tenant was injured while around 150 stalls were razed to the ground by a fire that hit the Galas Public Market in Quezon City early Friday morning, the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) said. (Photo Courtesy of Alwin Baltazar / MANILA BULLETIN) The BFP said the fire that reached fourth alarm started in the right side portion of the market at around 4:10 a.m. Firefighters were able to control the fire at around 6 a.m. and was eventually declared fire out around 30 minutes later, leaving at least 150 stalls destroyed. The BFP pegged the damage at P250,000. Arson investigators are investigating the cause of the fire. (With a report from MB Online)
