National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) acting director Police Brig. Gen. Debold Sinas said on Tuesday that members of Metro Manila’s Regional Mobile Force Battalion (RMFB) in the Light Rail Transit (LRT) and Metro Rail Transit (MRT) stations will be replaced by personnel of the district police offices.
According to a report by GMA News, 400 members of the RMFB will be replaced by the police offices that have jurisdiction over particular train stations in Metro Manila.
For example, MRT Guadalupe to Buendia stations will be under the Southern Police District (SPD) while LRT 2 Cubao station will be under the Quezon City Police District (QCPD).
Sinas said that the RMFB cops should be inside police camps, not in LRT1, LRT2, and MRT3 stations.
