Prenup shoot featuring Manila’s historical Jones Bridge goes viral

Photos of a pre-nuptial shoot on Manila’s historical Jones Bridge went viral and have caught the attention of netizens as many thought that these were taken in Paris, France.

The couple was caught in photos romantically strolling on the elegantly lit bridge that crosses over from Lawton to Binondo.

“A bridge in Paris? Almost! Featuring the historical Jones Bridge, a glimpse from Meyrick & Bernadine’s Pre wedding session!,” Peach Frost Studio said in a Facebook post.

Meanwhile, Manila Mayor Francisco “Isko Moreno” Domagoso shared the photos on his official Facebook account and expressed gratitude to the couple for appreciating their efforts for the installation of the new lamp posts.

“Maraming salamat po sa couple, Meyrick at Bernardine, pati na rin po sa Peach Frost Studio sa appreciation niyo po sa ating efforts para pagandahin ang ating makasaysayang Jones Bridge!!! ? Ang ganda po ng prenup!,” Domagoso said in a Facebook post.

Domagoso’s post has garnered 59,000 likes and 6,400 shares as of this posting.

According to a report, the city government hired Jerry Acuzar, the architect behind Las Casas Filipinas de Acuzar in Bataan as consultant.

Domagoso earlier said a Chinese businessman had given him P20 million to rehabilitate the bridge.

The rehabilitation is part of Manila’s administration’s push to preserve the city’s heritage site.
