Now, it contributes widely to technological innovations in aviation, power, and healthcare in ASEAN, and all over the world. GE Global Research Centre is located at John F. Welch Technology Centre in Bangalore, India.It is the first and largest integrated multidisciplinary research and development centre outside United States of America. "GE sees exceptional growth potential in ASEAN. Over the next 20 years, we expect aircrafts order, installed power generaion capacity, and healthcare spending to more than double in this region," said GE Asia Pacific CEO and President Wouter Van Wersch. Aviation teams at JFWTC have helped to produce stronger engines with improvement in fuel consumption at the same level of dispatch reliability and life cycle maintenance costs for the world's largest commercial jet engine -- the GEnX used in Vietnamese aircrafts. The JFWTC is working on solutions to solve the toughest problems that costumers have, offering three main services including testing & measurement, research, and licensing. The centre has built comprehensive portfolios of solutions for GE businesses from downstream to upstream and to each end-user to meet the high demand of costumers in Material solutions, Electric & Power, Thermosciences, Physical-Digital Analytics, Imaging, and Imaging & Controls and Optimization. GE houses about 5300 engineers and scientists. It is one of the world's most diversified industrial research organization that is at the forefront of designing innovative technology solutions that shape the future and has contributed to over 3500 patents to GE.
