Barangay San Antonio, Pasig is targeting to collect P84 million RPT this year.
Chairman Raymond Lising said that he is bullish that his barangay will once again beat its target RPT this year.
“We are expecting to surpass the full-year real property tax target before the year ends because we still have one quarter. Our stable financial standing will pave way for the enhancement of our programs in the barangay,” Lising said in a statement.
According to records, Barangay San Antonio has attained P80, 739, 485. 11 RPT as of October 2019.
Lising said that more services and scholarships were made available to residents because of diligent tax payers, saying that Barangay San Antonio now has 82 college scholars.
The previous barangay administration only had 17 college scholars when Lising assumed office in 2018.
“As of October, we have given around P1.5 million to our 82 scholars. The minimum allowance we give to them is P1, 500 per month,” he added.
Aside from the monthly allowance, Lising said that Barangay San Antonio shoulders the first P25, 000 per semester of their scholars or P50, 000 every year.
The chairman said that he is eyeing to give incentives to their scholars with exemplary grades.
Lising, meantime, said that real property tax satellite centers will be opened in various areas in the barangay. “I am urging all real property owners in the city to take advantage of this opportunity. This would save them time, energy and transportation expenses.”
