BEN&BEN makes 'stan' for Korean star Cha Eun Woo's 'Kathang Isip'

Indie folk/folk pop band Ben&Ben is proud Cha Eun Woo sang the former’s hit “Kathang Isip” during the Korean artist’s fan meet event in Manila over the weekend.

“Saw the video of cha eun woo singing “kathang isip”… studio version please! we stannnn #CHAEUNWOOMANILA2019,” read the group’s tweet.

At the fan meeting “Just One 10 Minute,” the Korean star also did a cover of Justin Bieber’s “Love Yourself.”

Cha Eun Woo was lead actor on hit drama “Gangnam Beauty.” The 22-year-old singer-actor rose to fame as member of boy group ASTRO.

It’s not the first time Korean artists mounting a fan meeting in the Philippines had sung local songs.

Early this year, Korean actor Park Bo Gum surprised and made fans swoon when he serenaded them with Daniel Padilla’s hit “Nasa Iyo Na Ang Lahat.”

Korean rap-rock band N.Flying also served a surprise to Pinoy fans when they performed one of Eraserheads’ hit songs, “Ang Huling El Bimbo” at their first Manila concert a few months ago.
