DOST bags 'best booth' award in PCCI business conference, expo

The Department of Science and Technology (DOST) was awarded the best booth by the Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PCCI) during the 45th Philippine Business Conference and Expo.

The DOST exhibit for the exposition was led by the Technology Application and Promotion Institute (DOST-TAPI) and joined by other DOST agencies namely; Metals Industry Research and Development Institute (MIRDC), Industrial Technology Development Institute (ITDI), Philippine Textile Research Institute (PTRI), and Regional Offices such as, DOST-IX, and DOST-II.

Bearing the theme “Enabling Business in a Digital Economy,” the DOST exhibit promoted programs, services and latest technologies developed and funded by DOST.

The DOST services and -developed technologies showcased in the exhibit were spray dryer, freeze dryer, water retort, vacuum fryer, wastewater treatment for quick service restaurants, drum dryer, one lab services, and colorants and natural dyes among others.

Moreover, the DOST also participated in the breakout session to pitch technologies ready for adoption and commercialization.

DOST-TAPI as the marketing arm of the DOST, organizes and participates in various expositions to promote technologies, innovations, inventions, research outputs, programs and services.

“We extend our gratitude to PCCI for giving us the opportunity to promote DOST, and for helping us reach more potential clients and investors,” said Mr. Romeo M. Javate, Supervising Science Research Specialist and Officer-in-Charge of the Investments and Business Operations Division (IBOD) of DOST-TAPI.

As Best Booth, the DOST received plaque of recognition and token of appreciation from PCCI.
