The President, accompanied by Senator Christopher Go, appeared on a Facebook video to inform the public about his latest motorcycle-related ailment. The video of President was recorded inside a vehicle and posted by the senator on his social media page.
"Magandang gabi po sa inyo. Mga kababayan ko, mga Pilipino. Alam mo, about four days ago, sumemplang ako sa motor. Eh pagka nagka motor ka, talagang once or twice sa buhay mo, makatikim ka talaga ng semplang. Lahat ng nagmomotor sumesemplang ,” Duterte said in the short video.
"Kagaya sa akin, ang ano lang, parang hindi ko matiis yung sa belt banda, mga three inches, medyo masakit talaga ," he said.
Duterte, seen on video with a droopy eyelid, said he felt some pain while brushing his teeth Tuesday morning. "Eh nag tooth brush ako kanina pag gising ko magkain. Talagang...” the 74-year-old leader said as he grimaced in pain.
Earlier, Malacañang announced that President Duterte decided to cut short his trip to Japan due to "unbearable pain" from a motorcycle mishap last week. Duterte has committed to see a neurologist for consultation on Wednesday.

Duterte was able to attend the historic enthronement of Emperor Naruhito but missed the official banquet scheduled Tuesday evening.
Despite his latest ailment, President Duterte meantime is not about to give up riding motorcycles.
Go, in another Facebook video, assured the public that there was nothing to worry about the President's health, and revealed that Duterte remained interested in motorcycles.
In the video, the senator showed the President reading paper clippings about motorcycles while inside the car.
"Sa mga kapatid nating Pilipino wag kayong mag-alala, nasa mabuting kalagayan ang ating mahal na pangulo. Nandito pa, nagbabasa ng kaniyang mga paboritong litrato ng motor ," Go said.
He claimed that Duterte could not live without riding motorcycles.
"At hindi pa rin daw siya titigil magmotor dahil hindi raw siya mabubuhay kung hindi raw siya magmo-motor. Ayun o, motor pa rin ang tinitignan. Kahit masakit na yung likod niya ay motor pa rin ang nasa isipan niya ," he added.
Duterte is expected to return to the country Tuesday evening.
