Bicol police has new director

By Nino Luces CAMP OLA, Albay - The Police Regional Office in Bicol has a new regional director. Brig. Gen. Anthony S. Alcañeses, who was installed Tuesday, will take over as acting regional director after Brig. Gen. Arnel B. Escobal is named acting director of the Philippine National Police’s Aviation Security Group (AVSEGROUP).

The new appointments were part of PNP’s revamp. Alcañeses was installed by Brig. Gen. Celso Pestaño. Alcañeses' father served also as Bicol police director 35 years ago. In his speech, he noted that Bicol is a big challenge for him. "Hindi natin maitatanggi na meron pa ring mga hindi gumagawa ng tama sa ating hanay. Gagawin natin ang lahat para linisin ang ating kapulisan dito sa Bicol," he said.
