Duterte condoles with Barretto family

By Argyll Cyrus Geducos President Duterte paid his last respects to Miguel Alvir Barretto, the father of actresses Gretchen, Marjorie, and Claudine, Wednesday evening. In her post, she said the President was accompanied by long-time aide Senator Bong Go and presidential spokesman Salvador Panelo. The youngest of the three Barretto sisters thanked Duterte for visiting her father's wake. "Thank you Mr. President. It's an honor to have you pay your respects to my Dad. God bless you Mr. President, Senator Bong Go, and Atty. Panelo," she said early Thursday. Duterte also witnessed Gretchen's reunion with her family as he was seen in another Instagram video condoling with her as she arrived at her father's wake. Gretchen was seen around the President a few times. She was also present during the birthday party of Panelo on September 23. She shared a video of Duterte singing his favorite song "Ikaw" during the said event and posted a photo of her with the President. Claudine confirmed the passing of her father in an Instagram story Tuesday morning, saying "Never knew I could hurt like this. Goodbye daddy."
