The reconstruction of the 12-story Presidential Management Staff (PMS) building on Arlegui Street, San Miguel, Manila is almost complete, the Department of Public Works and Highway (DPWH) announced on Friday.

“I am glad that retrofitting and improvement works is already at an advanced stage of completion and soon our PMS Office Building will be finished towards betterment of service for the Filipino people,” DPWH Secretary Mark Villar said after he conducted an inspection at the PMS building on Thursday.
PMS is an attached office to Office of the President (OP) that provides technical assistance and advice to the President in exercising overall management of the development process.
The DPWH said the reconstruction of the PMS office building, with a floor area of 12,592 square meters, is divided into five phases.
The Phase 1 of the project was completed last December 2018. Phase 2 is 89 percent complete, while phase 3A is 80 percent complete, which is ahead of the target by more than 21 percent.
DPWH said the three phases cost a total of P792 million while phases 3b and 4 had a funding requirement of P180 million which includes the completion of ground to roof deck floor finishes, doors and interior glass walls, installation of new roofing and solar panels, and other modern building features.
