The alleged “lookout” of alleged drug queen Guia Gomez Castro was arrested in a buy-bust operation in Sampaloc, Manila on Saturday.
Police Lt. Col Robert Domingo, station commander of Sampaloc Police Station identified the suspect as Marlon dela Cruz.
Investigation showed that Dela Cruz was arrested in a buy-bust operation at around 9 p.m. on September 28 led by the Sampaloc Station Drug Enforcement Unit along Algeciras corner Simoun Street in Sampaloc, Manila, Barangay 484, where Castro served as a former village chairperson.
According to Domingo, the suspect allegedly ran Castro's illegal drug trade operations there while she was still in office.
Recovered from the suspect were eight sachets of suspected shabu with an estimated value of P30,000, and P500 in marked money.
The suspect is now under the custody of Sampaloc Police Station and will be subjected to inquest proceedings at the Manila Prosecutor’s Office.
Appropriate charges will be filed against him for violation of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
