A graduate from University of San Agustin topped the September 2019 Medical Technologists (MedTech) Licensure Examination, the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) announced Wednesday.

Out of the 6,453 takers, 4,743 passed the exam, led by Reiven John Borbon Bernales of the University of San Agustin with a 90.50 percent passing rate.
Marichu Panceras Lomotos of Silliman University followed Bernales at second with 90.40 percent passing rate while Phoebe Badillo Caballero and Ainah Saturno Pancho, both from Far Eastern University- Nicanor Reyes Medical Foundation, shared third spot with 90.10 percent passing rate.
Completing the top 10 list were Joven Francis Franco Morales of University of Santo Tomas at fourth place (90.00 percent); Marc Rodney Sarvida Manaban of Silliman University at fifth (89.70).
Roxanne Nakpil dela Cruz of Arellano University-Manila, John Lester Vitto Fabella of University of Santo Tomas, and Glenn Ravino of Misamis University- Ozamis City all shared the sixth spot with 89.60 percent passing rate.
Obbrei Mosquite de Ocampo and Isaax Edron Jones O IG, both from San Pedro College- Davao City, tied at seventh with a passing rate of 89.40 percent.
Ma Isabel Israel Perez of San Pedro College- Davao City at eighth (89.30 percent); Alfred Ceasar Deza Carado of Central Philippine University at ninth (89.20 percent) and Gendilou Anne Frias Olarte of Far Eastern University at tenth (89.00 percent).
Cebu Doctors University was named top-performing school with a 100 percent passing rate.
Lyceum of the Philippines University- Batangas, Inc. was second top-performing school (93/94; 98.94 percent) while San Pedro College- Davao City ranked third (274/277; 98.92 percent).
The results were released three working days after the last day of examination.
The MedTech Licensure Exam was conducted last September 21 to 22, 2019 in cities of Manila, Baguio, Cagayan de Oro, Cebu, Davao, Iloilo, Legazpi, Lucena, Tacloban, and Tuguegarao.
The exam was given by the Board of Medical Technology led by its Chairman, Dr. Marilyn A. Cabal-Barza, and members, Ms. Marilyn R. Atienza, and Ms. Marian M. Tantingco.
