Lieutenant General Rozzano Briguez, PAF commanding general, said the movement within the organization was triggered by the elevation of Major General Pelagio Valenzuela's position, from being the Chief of Air Staff to PAF Vice Commander.

Maj. Gen. Glicerio Peralta, outgoing commander of the Tactical Operations Command (TOC), is now the new Chief of Air Staff.

Meanwhile, the acting TOC commander is Maj. Gen. Joselito Ramos, who was the outgoing commander of the Air Education, Training and Doctrine Command (AETDC).

Ramos relegated his post to Brigadier General Ferdinand Cartujano, the erstwhile AETDC deputy commander.

The acting AETDC deputy commander now is Colonel Teofilo Bailon Jr., who served as the commander of the 300th Air Intelligence and Security Wing (AISW).

Col. Romeo Jerome Dirilo Jr. becomes the acting commander of the 300th AISW.

Further, Brig. Gen. Elpidio Talja Jr., outgoing commander of the 520th Air Base Wing (ABW), became the new TOC deputy commander.

Talja relinquished his old post to Brig. Gen. Arthur Cordura.

"The PAF is no exemption in dealing with transitions in the leadership in order to make great changes in the organization," Briguez said in his speech.
