CEBU CITY – The Pag-IBIG Fund unveiled its Pag-IBIG Loyalty Card Plus in Cebu Monday The card serves as a cash and debit card for the fund’s more than 11 million members.

(Photo of Minerva Newman / MANILA BULLETIN) The launching of the card in the Visayas came after almost a year of absence in Cebu and after its initial release in the National Capital Region (NCR) last August. Pag-IBIG Fund Chief Executive Officer Acmad Rizaldy Moti said the agency partnered with over 300 establishments and with Asia United Bank and Union Bank for the Loyalty Card Plus. “The card is an attempt to make Pag-IBIG be a part of the members’ daily life as cardholders can enjoy the rewards and big discounts from five to 50 percent from our national and local partner establishments in the country,” Moti said. Cardholders can save on groceries, fuel, 30 percent discounts on tuition fees of partner schools, hospital bills and 50 percent discounts on medicines and lots of discounts and rewards from partner establishments including restaurants, hotels and travel expenses, he said. With the Loyalty Card Plus, transactions are easier, faster and more convenient. Pag-IBIG borrowers can also receive the proceeds of their multi-purpose loans, MP2 dividends, and other benefits. The card will also be used to access the agency’s soon-to-be-launched Virtual Pag-IBIG, an online service facility which will allow members to transact anytime, anywhere with Pag-IBIG. The cards are available at the Pag-IBIG branches in Ayala, Colon, Mactan, Mandaue, Danao, Dumaguete, Talisay and Toledo cities. By October, it should be available nationwide, Moti said.
