NRCE highlights technology at the heart of reimagining retail

To help retailers reimagine their businesses as the industry shifts to the digital age, the 26th National Retail Conference and Stores Asia Expo (NRCE) will showcase the best in retail technology and solutions at its expo, slated on Aug. 15-16 at the MoA SMX Convention Center, Pasay City.

The Stores Asia Expo, twin activity of the NRCE, aims to give attendees a venue where they can translate insights they obtained from the conference speakers to tangible and practical solutions to grow and upgrade their businesses.

Leading retail suppliers at the Stores Asia Expo

Leading local and foreign retail suppliers will participate in the expo, including those that supply artificial intelligence services, service robots, loyalty programs, digital marketing, data capture, visual merchandising, and cloud services, among others.

Cal-Comp Technology Philippines will showcase their service robots to give the retailers a preview on what it can do to serve retail customers. Their robots are optimized for human interaction and engaging people into a novel conversation.

Aptos, Innity, and Zebra Technologies, will also join the expo to showcase their technologies and innovative solutions to help retailers gain advantage in the industry.

Zebra Technologies APAC Vertical Solutions Marketing Lead for Retail, Healthcare and Hospitality George Pepes, who will also speak at the conference, shared how technology has disrupted the retail industry.

“Shoppers today have the most powerful shopping tool at their fingertips – the smartphone. With it, shoppers can shop anytime, anywhere they want. More importantly, the rise of e-commerce and the digital economy has clearly disrupted the business of retailers,” he said.

Aptos is the largest provider of enterprise software focused exclusively on retail. The company helps retailers develop dynamic and responsive assortments, streamline operations and deliver integrated, seamless experiences wherever shoppers choose to engage.

Innity, on the other hand, is a leading online media company and provider of digital advertising technologies for both advertisers and publishers, with offices around Asia.

Zebra Technologies offers products, software and services intelligently connect people, assets and data to empower frontliners in retail, healthcare, transportation and logistics, manufacturing and other industries.

“With the number of online shoppers in the Philippines set to grow to over 50 million by 2022, it is essential that brick and mortar retailers use the right tools to build loyalty with their customers.  Convenience and a better customer experience are the largest opportunities that the brick and mortar retailers can offer to build customer loyalty,” Pepes added.
