Man arrested for molesting woman in Valenzuela
A man who went into hiding after allegedly molesting a woman in front of her children was finally nabbed by police in Valenzuela City over the week.
Members of Valenzuela City Police Station arrested Cianico Fernandez, 43, at a warehouse where he was working in Barangay Canumay on Tuesday afternoon.
Police said that Fernandez had been wanted by police for about four years.
Police added that the suspect was just released from 16 years of imprisonment over murder charges when he committed another crime by allegedly molesting a woman in Barangay Marigondon in Romblon province in 2015.
The suspect reportedly went into hiding following the incident and had lived in Barangay Malinta in Valenzuela.
Police said that after receiving an information about the whereabouts of the suspect, who was a warehouse man, they immediately conducted an operation.
Police added that the company where the suspect was working cooperated with authorities during the service of arrest warrant, issued by a Romblon town Regional Trial Court, which led to his arrest.
Fernandez was immediately brought and turned over to Romblon police custody for proper disposition. (Joseph Pedrajas)
Man dies after heart attack at haunted house attraction in QC
A man, who apparently have an existing heart problem, died after suffering cardiac arrest while inside a haunted house attraction in Quezon City over the week.
Investigators of the Quezon City Police District identified the victim as Arlan Eusebio, 44, a resident of Balagtas, Bulacan.
Initial investigation disclosed that Eusebio and his high school friends went to Asylum Manila, a walkthrough horror attraction along New Manila, Quezon City around 5 p.m. Sunday.
According to one of Eusebio's friends, Oliver Lopez, their group had planned to visit the horror attraction for fun since videos of its visitors went viral online.
While inside and halfway through the horror house, Lopez said he noticed that Eusebio was having a seizure then fell on the ground.
Lopez and their friends rushed the unconscious victim to St. Luke's Medical Center where he eventually died at past 6 p.m.
Eusebio's wife, Hershey, revealed that the victim was suffering from diabetes which caused the enlargement of his heart since 2014 and was in continuous medication.

Drug suspect died in Taguig buy-bust operation
A drug suspect died when he exchanged fire with policemen during the conduct of buy-bust operation against him Wednesday night in Taguig City.
Police identified the suspect as Danilo Marcos and a resident of 44 Mt. Apo Extension, Palar Village, Barangay Pinagsama Taguig City.
He suffered several gunshot wounds in the body and died on the spot.
Investigation showed that prior to the shooting incident, members of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) coordinated with the Taguig City police for the conduct of buy-bust operation against the suspect who was listed allegedly for being notorious with his illegal drug activity.
Members of the PDEA in coordination with the Taguig City Police Station Drug Enforcement Unit (SDEU) immediately conducted buy-bust operation against Marcos and a policeman acted as a poseur-buyer.
The police said that during buy-bust operation, the suspect sensed that he was transacting with a policeman that prompted him to run inside his house and shot the operatives several times.
Police operatives retaliated after they were being shot by the suspect causing the latter’s death.
Police recovered at the crime scene were shabu and .45 caliber pistol loaded with one bullet and one empty magazine. (Jean Fernando)
