The Philippine National Police (PNP) called out on Wednesday a motorcycle ride-hailing company for what it described as unacceptable promotion of its app-based service.

In a message posted it its Twitter account PNP Tweets (@PNPHotline), police said that the promo advertisement would only make the commuters afraid of the service being offered by Angkas.
“This is not acceptable to commuters. Matatakotangtao saAngkaspagganito. This is not promoting public safety in transport business anymore,” the PNP wrote on its Twitter account.
The Angkas promo ad was posted on its Twitter account on Tuesday.
“Angkas is like sex. It's scary the first time pero masarap na ulit-ulitin,”Angkas said in its account.
“New user? Use promo code ANGKASARIWA on your first 2 rides,” it added.
But it did not sit well with the PNP which tagged the Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) apparently for some actions.
As of Wednesday, Angkas post gathered more than 14,800 likes and was shared more than 1,500 times.
“@angkas, we are calling your attention to this tweet,” the PNP said in its Twitter account.
