R.A. 11327 was principally authored by Valenzuela City District 2 Rep. Eric Martinez.
The bed capacity of the hospital was implemented consistent with the development plan of the Valenzuela Medical Center, the act read.
Section 2 of R.A. 11327 states that the existing hospital facilities, professional health care services, and health human resource of the Valenzuela Medical Center will be upgraded to conform to the increase in the hospital's bed capacity.
The funding for the increased bed capacity will be included in the Department of Health's General Appropriations Act, as stated in Section 3 of the act.
In a Facebook post, Martinez said he authored the law "to improve the services of the Valenzuela Medical Center through the increase of the number of personnel, modern medical facilities and equipment, increased bed capacity, and a bigger hospital building."
