A tornado was spotted Monday in Magalang, Pampanga due to severe thunderstorms caused by the southwest monsoon (Hanging Habagat).

According to a report by GMA News, the tornado was seen around 1 pm and damaged some parts of a nearby school.
Pampanga was featured in two separate thunderstorm advisories by the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) that warns of moderate to heavy rain showers with lightning and strong winds.
The specific affected areas in Pampanga were Guagua, Santa Rosa, Bacolor, San Fernando, Mexico, Santa Ana, Arayat, Candaba, San Luis, San Simon, and Apalit.
All were advised to take precautionary measures against flash floods and landslides.
