RLC opens 52nd mall, its biggest in Calabarzon

Robinsons Land Corporation (RLC), the real estate development arm of the Gokongwei group, has further beefed up its formidable portfolio of leasing assets with the opening of its 52nd mall in the country.

“We are excited to open Robinsons Galleria South, which will be of great service and convenience to the residents of Laguna and Southern Metro Manila,” said RLC President Frederick Go.
Robinsons Galleria South is located along the Old National Highway in San Pedro, Laguna. Being the first full-service mall in the area, it will serve a large and growing residential community of about 300,000 residents–mostly highly mobile professionals working in Metro Manila.
This is only the third Galleria Mall – following flagship mall Robinsons Galleria Ortigas and Robinsons Galleria Cebu in General Maxilom, Cebu City.
The latest Robinsons mall is also RLC’s 10th lifestyle center in the CALABARZON region. Other branches include those in Sta. Rosa, Dasmariñas, Imus, Lipa, Los Baños, Gen. Trias, Tagaytay, Antipolo, and Cainta.
Robinsons Galleria South is a four-level lifestyle center developed on a 3.8 hectare lot which used to be a soda bottling plant. The mall has a gross leasable area of 48,000 square meters.
Robinsons Galleria South is helping local entrepreneurs by providing them with a new business location and a dozen locally-owned food establishments which have set up shop in the mall’s food court called Eat Street.
It will feature JK Town, a zone in the mall which is lined by popular Japanese and Korean stores and dining restaurants.
The mall will also have the RLC-branded digital playground – PlayLab, the third branch following successful operations in Galleria Cebu and Galleria Ortigas.
Playlab is the only “phygital” playground in the Philippines; an RLC innovation which is highly placed in its Galleria malls. The facility is slated to open in the last quarter of the year.
The mall will also house six state-of-the-art cinemas including the first VIP Robinsons Movieworld cinema; a hip, complete, and contemporary food court called Eat Street; and the 250-seater St. Mother Teresa of Calcutta chapel located at the fourth level.
Apart from the various global brands and dining options, the mall also features the go-to retail stores such as Robinsons Supermarket, Robinsons Department Store, Robinsons Appliances, Handyman, South Star Drug, Robinsons Bank, Daiso Japan, and Arcova.
Robinsons Malls’ Public Service Program is also present as SSS branch office, located on the second floor and Philhealth and OWWA on the third level, will soon be open for its members’ convenience.
