The National Police Commission (NAPOLCOM) has opened its online schedules for the October 2019 entrance and promotional examinations in the Philippine National Police (PNP).

National Police Commission (MANILA BULLETIN) National Police Commission (MANILA BULLETIN)

NAPOLCOM Vice-Chairman and Executive Officer Atty. Rogelio T. Casurao revealed on Thursday the activation of the On-Line Examination Application Scheduling System (OLEASS) in the websites www.napolcom.gov.ph or www.napolcom-oleass.com for the nationwide conduct of the PNP Entrance and Promotional Examinations on October 27, 2019.

He said the online application schedule is on July 22 – 26 for PNP Entrance (PNPE) Examination; July 29 – August 2 for Police Officer 4th Class Examination (for Police Corporal and Police Staff Sergeant); and August 5 – 9 for Police Officer 3rd Class Examination (for Police Master Sergeant, Police Senior Master Sergeant, Police Chief Master Sergeant and Police Executive Master Sergeant), Police Officer 2nd Class Examination (for Police Lieutenant and Police Captain) and Police Officer 1st Class Examination (for Police Major and Police Lieutenant Colonel).

Casurao added the OLEASS shall be opened at 12:00 noon on July 22 for the PNPE Examination, July 29 for the Police Officer 4th Class Examination and August 5 for the Police Officer 1st to 3rd Class Examinations.

In view of resource constraints, the NAPOLCOM Regional Offices have limited the number of examinees they will accommodate.

“Acceptance of online applications shall be on a ‘first-come, first-served’ basis and, upon due notice, may be stopped even ahead of the deadline,’’ the NAPOLCOM statement noted.

The period of filing of applications with complete requirements is from August 19 to September 13, 2019. Examination fee is P400 for the PNPE and Police Officer 4th Class Examinations; P450 for Police Officer 3rd Class Examination; P500 for Police Officer 2nd Class Examination; and P600 for Police Officer 1st Class Examination.

The OLEASS allows PNPE Examination applicants to choose the examination center where they want to take the examination regardless of their place of residence. However, for Promotional Examination applicants, the examination center is automatically assigned by the computer system based on the unit/assignment address provided by the police applicant.

The PNPE Examination is open to all Filipino citizens who are not more than 30 years old and bachelor’s degree holder. Patrolmen/Patrolwomen whose appointments are temporary for lack of appropriate eligibility are also required to take said entrance exam.

On the other hand, the Promotional Examinations are open exclusively to all qualified uniformed members of the PNP who meet the minimum qualification standards for examination in terms of rank and eligibility.

An applicant should file his/her application documents in person at any of the 17 NAPOLCOM Regional Offices on his/her scheduled appointment date.

“PNPE applicants must bring the following: (1) printout of Confirmation Letter with corresponding reference number confirming the scheduled appointment; (2) printout of filled-out Application Form and duly accomplished Index Card and two recent, identical and color 1”x1” ID pictures with white background and complete name tag (for PNP members, the name tag should indicate the rank before the name); (3) one legal size window envelope with P20 worth of mailing stamp; (4) Transcript of Scholastic Record with Special Order issued by CHED and Diploma; and (5) Birth Certificate in security paper issued by the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) or certified true copy of the Birth Certificate issued by the Local Civil Registrar and duly authenticated by the PSA. For a Patrolman/Patrolwoman with temporary appointment, a certified true copy of Attested Appointment, Plantilla Appointment or Special Order is also required for submission,’’ the NAPOLCOM statement read.

Casurao said applicants for the Promotional Examinations should submit the first three requirements mentioned above; the certified true copy of Attested Appointment, Plantilla Appointment or PNP Absorption Order; and the Report of Rating/Certification issued by the NAPOLCOM Central Office, CSC Certificate of Eligibility and/or PRC Board Certificate.

“Starting this October 2019 PNP examinations, the Commission will implement Resolution No. 2019-477, dated June 14, 2019, which provides for the renaming of the examination titles of the NAPOLCOM-administered PNP Promotional Examinations in line with the modification of the PNP Rank Classification under Republic Act No. 11200,” Casurao concluded.
