A Facebook post from PRCC amazed the netizens, with one of the river warriors showing the giant tilapia that was caught in the canal.

PRCC took this as a positive result of the rehabilitation being undertaken in Pasig River’s tributaries.

Netizens questioned if the giant tilapia was safe to eat.

Tilapia feeds on algae or small aquatic plant cells, and is primarily raised in freshwater system like raceways or open waters.
