CAMP GENERAL PANTALEON GARCIA, IMUS, Cavite – A 19-year-old student was caught with a sachet containing dried marijuana leaves (cannabis) concealed in his shoe while inside the premises of a national high school in Barangay Molino I, Bacoor City.
The suspect was turned over by a security guard, Roilan Sevilla Norcio to the local police station after his apprehension at Bacoor National High School at 9:30 a.m. Friday. He was identified in a report released by the Cavite Police Provincial Office (PPO) on Saturday, July 6.
His identity was being withheld for the meantime as investigation was ongoing.
In a spot report, Staff Sergeant Francis Mark De la Cruz. Cortez, case investigator, said that the heat-sealed transparent sachet with dried marijuana, weighing about .05 gram, was found kept in the suspect's shoe while he was at the school premises at 9:30 a.m. Friday.
No other details were reported for the the meantime.
Cortez named the complainant in the case as Ronnie Genido Alvarez, 39, a schoolteacher.
The investigator reported that the "stuff" confiscated from the suspect was brought to the police crime laboratory for examination. He said that the suspect was placed under police custody.
A charge for Violation of Republic Act 9165, Section 11 (drug possession) was being readied against the suspect.
