Solar-powered jeepneys to ply Ormoc streets

By Marie Marticio ORMOC CITY – Ten solar powered jeepneys will be plying the city as part of the government’s Public Utility Vehicle (PUV) Modernization Program. Gomez said loading and unloading stations would be set up along the Bagsakan Area, which would pass Avilles St, Real St., Lilia Avenue going to Robinsons Place. From Robinsons Place, the e-jeeps will also pass Cogon St., Ormoc District Hospital, Racal, D. Veloso St., Anubing St., Ormoc City High School, Armea and Real St. going back to Bagsakan. Solar-powered jeeps were also launched to ply Ormoc-Sogod, Southern Leyte, routes.
