In her privilege speech yesterday morning after attending her first flag ceremony as mayor of the city held at the Cuneta Astrodome, Calixto-Rubiano thanked the city hall employees for their continued support on her.

Calixto-Rubiano likewise thanked city residents on their untiring trust to her ever since she was still acting as the city’s lone representative at the lower house.

Calixto-Rubiano said she will give priority on her education program by increasing the cash assistance being given to scholars from P500 to P1,000 next year.

At the same time, Calixto-Rubiano assured the Pasayeños that she will continuously perform her duties as the city’s chief executive by giving assistance to city residents most especially to the needy.

“I am assuring my constituents that I will extend my services to them as they can now see me in my office everyday for their needs,” Calixto-Rubiano said.

Right after the flag raising ceremony at the Cuneta Astrodome, Calixto-Rubiano proceeded to the city hall to visit and give a courtesy call to the different department heads and employees of their respective offices.

On Friday last week, a simple turn-over ceremony took place at the mayor’s conference room where Calixto-Rubiano’s eldest brother and outgoing mayor Antonino Calixto led the transfer of his position to his younger sister as the city’s chief executive.

Calixto is now the lone representative of the city at the lower house which was the previous position vacated by Calixto-Rubiano.
