"Help me succeed," Domagoso told PLM student council leaders. "Mataas po ang tingin ko sa inyong mga kabataan. You are not just students, but also citizens of Manila who have a duty to help the city and its citizens succeed."
During the meeting, the Mayor-elect bared that he was planning to increase the allowance of city scholars to P1,000 to help them with their personal expenses.
The Mayor-elect also discussed his plan to transfer the PLM College of Medicine from its campus in Intramuros to the Ospital ng Maynila in order to bring medical students closer to the city's health facilities.
When he was a city councilor, Domagoso pushed for the allocation of P150 million of the city's annual budget to improve the Ospital ng Maynila. Under his term as vice mayor, he pushed for an increased allocation of P450 million to the city-run hospital.
The PLM student council officials welcomed Domagoso's vision for Manila, saying they were willing to help make the city vibrant and energetic.
But the student leaders also relayed their grievances to Moreno, regarding issues surrounding their campus.
They noted the congested laboratories and libraries, state of the cafeterias, and lack of transparency on how development funds were being used, among others.
In response to their grievances, Domagoso vowed to implement reforms at the PLM within the first 100 days of his administration.
He also vowed to appoint a new PLM President who is a product of the public education system and a true-blue Manileño. "Sa ganitong paraan, alam ng bagong PLM President kung ano ang mga hinaharap na hamon ng mga mag-aaral ng public schools,” he said.
"Kapag walang nangyaring reporma sa one hundred days na iyon, then come back to me. Singilin niyo po ang aking opisina ng mga repormang iyon," he said
