Consumers were warned by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) over unregistered food products such as jam, junk food, coffee, and juice mixtures being sold in the market which could pose health risks.
The products found unregistered are 7Grains Vegetable Bouillon Cubes, Chocobambam, Crusty’s Salted Egg Fish Skin, Joy Pandan Gulaman, Stay Below Zero Purified Tube Ice and Water, Mother’s Best Calamansi Philippine Lemon Extract, Tasty Palamig Powder Mix Blue Lemonade, and Nash white Coffee 3in1.
In two separate FDA advisories – Nos. 2019-160 and 2019-163 – the agency said the eight unregistered food products were verified through post-marketing surveillance.
The agency said the food products are not registered and certificates of product registration (CPR) have not yet been issued for the products.
All concerned establishments were also warned not to distribute the unregistered food products until they have been issued the appropriate authorization, license to operate for the establishment, and CPR for the food product.
