Parts of MM, Laguna, Batangas and Rizal to experience power outage from June 24-30

By Rizal Obanil Manila Electric Company (Meralco) announced that there will be a scheduled power interruption for parts of Metro Manila, Laguna, Batangas and Rizal Province from June 24-30. On Monday (June 24) between 12:30 am-1 am and between 6 am-6:30 am Liliw, Los Baños, Pila and Sta. Cruz in Laguna will experience power interruption. Meralco identified the following areas as the one that will be affected by the brownout: Portions of Barangay Bubukal, Duhat, Gatid, Labuin, Pagsawitan, Palasan and Patimbao in Sta. Cruz; The whole of Pila excluding Carmen Agra Subd. and Purok Codera in Bgys. San Antonio and Bulilan Sur. Bgys. Dagatan, Daniw and Dita in Liliw; Portions of Bgys. Banca-Banca and Sibulan in Nagcarlan; Portions of Los Baños – Bay National Highway from Ochoa Realica Pawnshop to and including University of the Philippines – Los Baños Campus and Trace Computer College; Maharlika Village and Jardin Leonila Subd.; Sitios Maligaya, Pag-asa and Sto. Niño in Bgys. Batong Malake, San Antonio and Maahas in Los Baños; Portions of PNR Rail Road Track and IBP Road from Los Baños – Bay National Highway to San Luis Road in Bgys. San Antonio, Maahas and Putho – Tuntungin in Los Baños; Along San Luis Road from IBP Road to and including GK – Los Baños Ville, Collegeville Subd., Dairyville Subd., Hillside Village, Pleasant Village and Villa Caringal in Bgy. Putho – Tuntungin in Los Baños; Portions of Lopez Ave. from Los Baños – Bay National Highway to and including Villegas Compound, Lopez Subd., Umali Subd., Sta. Fe Subd., Faculty Village and Demarces Village in Bgy. Batong Malake in Los Baños. On Tuesday (June 25) Sto. Tomas, Calamba and Los Baños will experience power interruption between 5:30 am and 6 am and between 6 pm and 6:30 pm. Meralco identified the following areas in the said cities as the ones that will be affected: Portions of Calamba – Los Baños National Highway (Manila South Road) from Taklaban St. in Bgy. Real to Bucal Barangay Road in Bgy. Bucal, Calamba City, Laguna; Portions of Calamba – Los Baños National Highway (Manila South Road) from Camp Eldridge in Bgy. Lalakay to Batong Malake Junction Road in Bgys. Años and Batong Malake, Los Baños, Laguna; Meanwhile, between 6 am and 6 pm St. Thomas Paper Mill in Barangay San Felix, Sto. Tomas, Batangas Province will experience power interruption. The NGCP reported that line maintenance works in NGCP - Makban (Bay) - Calamba 69kV transmission lines and maintenance works inside Meralco–Dila substation as the reasons for the power outages. On June 25 (Tuesday) between 9 am and 3 pm the following areas in Rizal Province will be affected: Portions of Bautista and Raymundo Sts. from Sitio Libis to and including Sitio Butig and Crystal East Subd. Phases 1-A & 1-H in Bgy. Bombongan. The reason for the scheduled power interruption is the line reconductoring works in Barangay. Bombongan, Morong, Rizal Province. From Wednesday to Thursday (June 26-27), it will Manila and Quezon City’s turn to have a power interruption. Meralco said that between 11:30 pm and 12:30 am on Wednesday and between 5 am to 5:30 am on Thursday the following areas will be affected: Portions of España Blvd. and Quezon Ave. from Josefina St. in Sampaloc, Manila to G. Araneta Ave. in Bgy. Sto. Domingo, Quezon City including Manila Steam Laundry in Sampaloc; Matterhorn Motors, Caltex, Mabuhay Educational Center, PPSTA Building, PPSTA Dorm and Economic Press; Halcon, Apo Ave., Speaker Perez, Kitanlad, Agno Sts. and Banawe Ave. in Bgys. Sta. Teresita Lourdes and Sto. Domingo, Quezon City; Portions of Banawe Ave. from Quezon Ave. to and including Sen. Mariano Cuenco Sr. and P. Florentino Sts. in Bgys. Sto. Domingo and Lourdes, Quezon City; Portions of P. Florentino St. from AIB Ave. to Honda Cars – Quezon Ave. including Don Jose St. in Bgy. Sto. Domingo, Quezon City. Between 11:30 pm and 12:30 am of Wednesday and between 5 am and 5:30 am of Thursday the following areas will be affected: Portions of BMA Ave. and Kaliraya St. from Kabignayan St. to near Tuayan St. in Bgy. Tatalon, Quezon City; Portions of Agno Ext. from Victory Ave. to Tuayan St. in Bgy. Tatalon, Quezon City; Portions of Eulogio Rodriguez Sr. Ave. from G. Araneta Ave. to Sta. Cecilia St. including Trinity College – Q. C., La Flonilla and C. Sobrepena Sts. in Bgys. Tatalon and Damayan Lagi, Quezon City. While between 11:30 pm and 5:30 am of Wednesday and between 11:30 pm and 5:30 am of Thursday the following areas will be affected: Portions of E. Rodriguez Ave. from near G. Araneta Ave. to BMA Ave. in Bgy. Tatalon, Quezon City; Portions of BMA Ave. from E. Rodriguez Sr. Ave. Kabignayan St. in Bgy. Tatalon, Quezon City. The reason for the power outage according to NGCP is the installation of new facilities along E. Rodriguez Ave. in Barangay. Tatalon, Quezon City. On Wednesday, between 8 am and 2 pm, the following areas in Navotas City will be affected: Along Isda St. from near North Bay Blvd to Radial Road 10 in Bgy. North Bay Blvd South; Portions of Radial Road 10 from Isda St. to and including Via Marine Corporation, Fil-Choice Food Industries Inc., Delsea Resources Corp. and Crystalcold Chain Corp. in Bgy. North Bay Blvd North; Portions of Palengke St. from Isda St. to and including Pacific Tomich Corporation, Philippine Fisheries Development Authority (PDFA), Bureau of Fisheries & Aquatic Resources (BFAR) MCS Station & Fishing Technology Station, Millenium Energy Gas Turbine Power Plant, Frabelle Fishing Corp., RBL Fishing Corp. Ice Plant, Splendor Engineering & Marine Services, Nautilus Shipyard & Repair Inc. and EON Bulk Handling Services Inc. in Navotas Fish Port Complex, Bgy. North Bay Blvd North; The reason for the power outage is the replacement of poles and line reconstruction works along Spine Road, Barangay. North Bay Blvd., Navotas City. On Thursday between 9 am and 4 pm another part of Quezon City, particularly Matandang Balara will be affected by the power interruption. The following areas will be affected: Portions of Capitol Hills Drive from Tandang Sora Ave. to and including Capitol Hills Golf Subd., Ayala Heights Village Subd., Alpha Village Subd., Golfhill Gardens Subd., Manotok Compound, Country Villas Subd., Pentagon Homes Subd., Premier Court Subd., Jade Townhomes Subd., Sta. Maria Compound, Hobart Homes Subd. and South Bellevue Subd.; South Zuzuarregui and Upsilon Sts. The reason for the power outage is the reconductoring of primary lines and installation of additional lightning protection devices along Capitol Hills Drive; and Ayala Heights Subd. in Barangay Matandang Balara, Quezon City. On Thursday (June 27) between 10 am and 3 pm Nagcarlan, Laguna will experience power outage. From 10 am to 3 pm of Thursday as well the following areas in Laguna will be affected: Portions of Abo Barangay Road from Abo Barangay Health Center to and including Bukal Barangay Road in Bgys. Abo and Bukal. The reason for the power interruption is the line conversion works, replacement of poles and line reconductoring works along Abo Barangay Road in Barangay. Abo, Nagcarlan, Laguna. On Friday (June 28) it will be Biñan, Laguna’s turn to experience power interruption between 9 am and 2 pm. Meralco identified the following areas: Portions of Rosario Complex Ave. corner Our Lady of Fatima St. in Bgy. San Francisco. The reason given was the replacement of poles and line reconstruction works along Rosario Complex Ave. in Barangay. San Francisco, Biñan City, Laguna. From Saturday to Sunday June 29 to 30 Kapasigan in Pasig will experience power interruption between 11:30 pm of Saturday and 4:30 am of Sunday. Meralco identified the portions of Blumentritt St. from A. Mabini St. to Industria Street as the area that will be affected. The reason for the power outage is the replacement of rotten pole along Blumentritt St. in Bgy. Kapasigan, Pasig City. On Saturday (June 29) it will be San Antonio in Quezon City affected with a power interruption scheduled between 9 am and 2 pm. The following areas will be affected: Portions of Santiago St. from near Pat Senador St. to and including Emerald Garment Mfg. Corp. and Well-Print Services; and Sta. Fe St. Meralco will be conducting line reconductoring works and installation of additional lightning protection devices along Santiago and Sta. Fe St. in Bgy. San Antonio, Quezon City. Lastly, on Sunday (June 30), San Lorenzo Makati will experience power interruption between 9 am and 9:30 am and between 1:30 pm and 2 pm. Meralco identified the following areas as the ones that will be affected: Portions of Ayala Ave. from SSS Bldg. to and including VGP Center, Security Bank Bldg., MCC Bldg. and Jaka I Bldg. in Legaspi Village. Portion Dela Rosa St. from V. A. Rufino St. to Gil St. in Legaspi Village. Meanwhile, between 9 am and 2 pm on Sunday the following areas will be affected: Portions of Ayala Ave. from Salcedo St. to and including Rufino Pacific Tower, Nex Tower, Makati Sky Plaza, Alveo Financial Tower and Convergys One Bldg. in Legaspi Village. Portions of Dela Rosa St. from V. A. Rufino St. to Salcedo St. including Eton Tower Makati, Solaris One and Kroma Tower in Legaspi Village. The reason for the power outage is the replacement of poles along Dela Rosa St. in Legaspi Village, Bgy. San Lorenzo, Makati City. Meralco advised the public to be aware of the scheduled power interruptions.
