The Bonifacio Monument Circle in Caloocan will be closed to traffic Wednesday for Independence Day activities, the city government said.
The city’s Department of Public Safety and Traffic Management has advised the public to take alternative routes as the circle will be closed from 12:01 a.m. until the end of culminating activities in celebration of the 121st Independence Day.
Vehicles coming from Caloocan or Manila heading to Valenzuela City are advised to take 10th Ave. or Rizal Ave. extension and then C3 Road towards B. Serrano Street.
From there, light vehicles can take a u-turn before General Tinio St., while trucks can take a u-turn before General Concepcion St.
All vehicles can exit at MacArthur Highway through Calle Cuatro.
Vehicles bound to Malabon can turn left in Barangay Potrero.
Those heading to Caloocan can turn left on Araneta Ave., and then can turn right towards the University of the East Caloocan campus.
Light vehicles can turn right on New Abbey Road, while buses and trucks can take C4 Road then turn right on Dagat-Dagatan Ave.
