Metro League U17: Caloocan gets playoff bonus

by Ernest Hernandez Caloocan drubbed Valenzuela on the road, 67-47, in the last game of the elimination round of the Metro League U17 Division at the Valenzuela City Astrodome on Tuesday. The Junior Supremos clobbered the Junior Workhorse from the get-go, holding the hosts to just 18 points in the first half and never looking back. Luiz Tapenio came up with 14 points, six rebounds, and two assists for Valenzuela, which fell to the third seed in the North. With both sides meeting again in the tournament quarterfinals, their clash essentially served as Game 1 of a virtual best-of-three series.
