The lady governor, known as a staunch environmental advocate with her YES to Green Program (which stands for Ynares to Eco System to Green Program), which is an aggressive campaign geared towards environmental protection through cleaning, greening, and recycling, implemented from provincial down to the community and household level, will be serving her third term as the province’s local chief executive.
Under the lady governor’s leadership, Rizal became the only province in the entire country that has received a Hall of Fame Award from the National Competitiveness Council after being adjudged as the Most Competitive Province in the Philippines for three (3) straight years.
Meanwhile, in Antipolo City, the Pilgrimage Capital of the Country is making history for having its first female mayor and 23rd local chief executive following the election of Andrea ‘Andeng’ Ynares.
With no opponent in the mayoralty race, the young lady Ynares garnered a whooping 235,548 votes, the highest number of votes ever recorded for the said position.
In her proclamation speech recently at the Ynares Center, Mayor-elect Ynares said her victory is a clear manifestation of the citizens' strong support for her husband, outgoing Mayor Casimiro ‘Junjun’ Ynares, III, whose leadership made the city, a consistent topnotcher and multi-awarded city to include the Most Competitive Component City in 2017 and national champion of the Environmental Compliance Audit from DILG and DENR for its outstanding performance.
In Binangonan, also unopposed, the tandem of brothers Cesar and Boyet Ynares, will continue to serve as the duly-elected mayor and vice mayor respectively, of the lakeshore town, which is gaining momentum in rising up the leaderboard of most competitive municipalities in the country.
The Ynares team’s all-out support has also been instrumental in the victory of 32-year old lawyer Harvard graduate Congressman-elect Atty. Fidel Nograles. His triumph in the polls to represent the Second Congressional District of the Province, has toppled and ended the two decades of rule of the Rodriguez family. Nograles, a nephew of the late former House Speaker Prospero Nograles, garnered a total of 212,031 votes against Maridee Rodriguez who got 138,086 votes. #MatalinongBoto2019
