PDEA agents seize P20.2-M shabu from Chinese national, 3 Filipinos in Valenzuela City

Alvarino said that Wu is a suspected illegal drug supplier connected with the Golden Triangle, an international illegal drug syndicate operating in the Southeast Asia. He was believed to be a cohort of two other Chinese nationals who were killed in a firefight with anti-illegal drugs operatives last February in Tanza, Cavite that yielded P1.9 billion worth of suspected shabu. The three Filipinos were identified as Florencio Serdon, Sunbenny Marquez Jr., and Christopher Dela Cruz, who were suspected of undertaking the drug deliveries. Alvarino said that Wu have been under surveillance for several months. Joint elements of the PDEA Region IV-A, PDEA Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM), PDEA Region 1, PDEA National Capital Region (NCR), PDEA Special Enforcement Service (SES) and the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) conducted a drug sting in the house of Wu in Barangay Maysan, Valenzuela at around 12:30 p.m. After the transaction, authorities were able to arrest the four alleged drug personalities. Seized from them were three packs of suspected shabu weighing three kilos, with estimated market value of P2.2 million. Also seized was the P1,000-marked money. The PDEA said that cases for violation of Sec. 5 and Sec. 11 of the Article 2 of the RA 9165 were being prepared against them.
