Jolliville Holdings Corporation (JOH), through its subsidiary Jolliville Leisure and Resort Corp. (JLRC), has opened a P350-million themed water park in Calapan City, Oriental Mindoro.
In a statement, JOH chairman Jolly Ting said Jolly Waves Water Park and Resort features premium facilities complete with day-time accommodations, unique water amenities and function rooms.
Jolly Waves is located in Sapul, Calapan City, a short 15-minute ride from the Calapan Port.
Ting said the project is the first water recreation facility in the area and is also considered to be one of the biggest in the Mindoro, Marinduque, Romblon, Palawan (MIMAROPA) Region.
“The themed waterpark is an integrated adventure park which features one of the biggest wave pools in the country, a treasure trove of slides, zip lines and sky bicycles,” Ting said.
He added that, “pool playground, camp-pod accommodations, huts and cottages, pool bar, a food park, and a pavilion and events place are also available.”
The P350-million investment is designed to bring world-class resort experience to its guests from nearby municipalities of Mindoro Island and from the Luzon mainland.
Oriental Mindoro, according to tourism reports, is considered a gateway to the MIMAROPA Region and the Visayas and is accessible from areas like Batangas, Caticlan, Iloilo and Palawan.
As the regional hub of the MIMAROPA Region, Calapan is also host to major private and governmental regional offices. (JAL)
