Espino, Lambino sure winners in Pangasinan

By Liezle Basa-Iñigo LINGAYEN, Pangasinan — Governor Amado Espino III and Mark Lambino are now the sure winner for governor and vice governor, respectively, in this province. Partial and unofficial results were obtained from the COMELEC transparency server as of 12 noon Wednesday. The results represented 99.47 percent of the Pangasinan Election Returns. For governor, Espino had 777,440, while closest rival Arthur Celeste obtained 579, 779. Mark Lambino had 712,854 votes while his adversary, Angel Baniqued Sr, registered 496,556 votes. For congressman, two were already proclaimed by the chairman of board of canvassers in the province. Proclaimed were Ramon Guico III for fifth district Pangasinan and Noli Celeste for the first district. Meanwhile, the aspirant for congressman for second district was Jumel Espino with 127, 347 votes; Baby Arenas for the third district with 241, 064 votes; Christopher "Toff" de Venecia for the fourth district with 165,829 votes; and Tyrone Agabas for the sixth district with 202,278 votes.
