Re-electionist candidate Edwin Olivarez won once again as Mayor in Parañaque City along with his whole ticket in the recently concluded midterm elections.
Olivarez earned a landslide victory against the former mayor Florencio Bernabe by winning by as much as 100,000 votes.
In the official tally of the Commission on Elections (Comelec) Olivarez won with 169,224 votes against his opponent Florencio Bernabe who garnered 52,824 votes.
Olivarez’ running mate incumbent Vice Mayor Rico Golez, also won against Jeremy Marquez, the son of actor and politician Joey Marquez.
The mayor’s younger brother Eric Olivarez also won as first district representative while Joy Tambunting also won as a second district representative. Councilors of both districts also won.
Association of Barangay Captains (ABC) - Paranaque City president Chris Aguilar thanked those who supported Team Bagong Parañaque who won in over 16 barangays.
