Mayor Lagnada's Team sweeps 13-0 victory once again

By Mike Crismundo BUTUAN CITY – For the second time in a row, the Team of Mayor Ronnie Vicente Conde Lagnada or RCL swept the 13-0 victory on May 13 polls in this Caraga region’s premier and capital city of Butuan. With him, and also with a landslide victory, is re-electionist and incumbent Butuan City and 1st District Agusan del Norte solon Rep. Lawrence Lemuel H. Fortun. Mayor Lagnada garnered 125, 250 votes against his opponent Nonong Balanon who got 34,355 votes while in the Congressional district – Rep. Fortun got 127, 457 votes while his rival Sammy Amante has 30,801 votes. From the 86 barangays where there are 270 polling precincts, incumbent Mayor Lagnada is always way ahead from the very start up to the final count of votes where his running mate also an incumbent Vice-Mayor Jose Aquino ll also got a very convincing number of votes. Under Team RCL, the jubilant city councilors who will serve for their second term are Atty. Glenn Carampatana, Ferdinand Nalcot, Derrick Plaza, Cromwell Nortega, Atty. Rema Burdeos, Atty. Earnest John Sanchez, Atty. John Gil Unay Sr., Omar Andaya, Cherry Mae Busa, and Engr. Vincent Rizal Rosario. Butuan City COMELEC Officer Ganger Rañada, officially proclaimed the Team RCL on Tuesday as the winners of the May 13 polls in Butuan City, with Butuan City and Agusan del Norte 1st District Rep. Lawrence Lemuel Fortun. Meanwhile, Mayor Lagnada assures the Butuanons that all the flagship programs that his administration is currently implementing like – big infrastructure projects, continuing economic development and livelihood programs will “continue without let up”. “All our efforts are for Butuanons, for this generation and next generation,” stressed Mayor Lagnada. “As a partner in progress and development, rest assured that all our sacrifices are for the Butuanons,” said an elated Rep. Fortun. The Team RCL is currently spearheading the various weeklong activities of the “Balangay Festival 2019”.
