(PHOTO BY ERMA EDERA) Domagoso arrived a few minutes before 8 a.m. at a polling precinct in Manuel L. Quezon Elementary School in the city’s first district. The vote counting machines (VCMs) at precinct 0257A, 0258A-B-C malfunctioned causing a delay in Domagoso’s voting. He fed his ballot twice to the VCM. Domagoso urged Manileños to participate in the democratic process and exercise their right to vote. “Sa araw na ito, mananaig ang boses ng taumbayan. Inaanyayahan ko po ang lahat ng Manileño na makilahok sa demokratikong proseso na ito at bumoto sa kani-kanilang mga presinto,” Domagoso said. “Panahon na po ng bagong dugo, bagong umaga, at bagong simula sa Lungsod ng Maynila. Ano man po ang maging hatol ng bayan, ito po ay buong puso naming gagalangin at tatanggapin,” he added. His running mate, Vice Mayor Honey Lacuna, cast her vote at a polling precinct in Legarda Elementary School in Sampaloc, Manila. The mayoralty candidate also thanked Manileños who showed their support for him and Lacuna throughout the 45-day campaign for local races. “Muling nagpapasalamat po kami ni Vice Mayor Honey Lacuna at lahat ng bumubuo ng partidong Asenso Manileño sa lahat ng sumuporta sa aming mga aspirasyon para sa ating mahal na lungsod,” he said. The 44-year old candidate ran a platform-based campaign that centered on improving the city’s social services as well as a ten-year infrastructure plan to boost tourism, employment, and healthcare. #MatalinongBoto2019
