Fire rages in Brgy Baesa; Second fire reaches fifth alarm in neighboring Brgy Bahay Toro

A massive fire raged at a residential area along Mendez Road in Barangay Baesa in Quezon City, the Bureau of Fire Protection said.
The blaze, which reportedly started around 4:25 p.m., is now at Task Force-Bravo and firefighters are already in the scene trying to contain the fire.
Meanwhile, another fire broke out at another residential area along Sinagtala Street in Barangay Bahay Toro, also in Quezon City.
The fire was raised to the fifth alarm at around 5 p.m. but was put under control at around 7:30 p.m.
Police Lieutenant Colonel Alex Alberto of Quezon City Police Station-3 (Talipapa) said the houses affected in Barangay Bahay Toro were made out of light materials.
Police personnel was also deployed to monitor and maintain the order in the fire-stricken area, Alberto added.
