Candidates for congressional seats were invited in the forum held at the Most Holy Trinity Parish in Balic-balic, Sampaloc, Manila on April 26.
Domagoso, standard bearer of local political party Asenso Manileño, was the only candidate for Manila mayor present at the election forum.
He was joined by his running mate, reelectionist Vice Mayor Honey Lacuna, congressional bet Trisha Bonoan-David, and candidates for councilor for Joel “JTV” Villanueva” and Wardee Quintos.
During the forum, candidates were given the opportunity to introduce themselves, present their platforms and explain their stances on hot-button issues.
For his part, Domagoso introduced his platform to improve social services in Manila, saying that poverty had to be eradicated in order to uplift the lives of every Manileño.
On the other hand, Lacuna recounted her first term as Vice Mayor, saying that she was able to deliver her office’s social welfare programs and projects despite huge budget cuts.
“Sa forum na ito, matutulungan natin ang ating kapwa Manileño na malaman, maintindihan at maunawaan kung ano ang aasahan nila sa kanilang lokal na pamahalaan kung kami man ay mabigyan ng pagkakataon na patakbuhin ito,” Domagoso said. #MatalinongBoto2019
