Xian Gaza, who caught public attention two years ago when he asked an actress for a date using a billboard, has resurfaced in social media anew after he posted how he was able to sneak out of the country despite having three standing warrants of arrest, and after being found guilty for using a bouncing check.
The post by “Xian S. Gaza” has gone viral and made the rounds on Facebook on Sunday, narrating, through a series of photos, how he successfully made it from the check-in counter of the terminal up to his plane seat booked to Hong Kong.
According to the post, which has garnered 8,100 reactions and 13,000 shares of this writing, the incident happened last September 30, 2018.
Gaza had it all planned out.
At 4:40 a.m. at NAIA Terminal 3, Gaza said he prepared three tickets booked for Singapore, Taipei, and Hong Kong. The Singapore and Taipei flights were checked in online, and he referred to them as his “decoy” flights.
He waited for the last counter to be closed so that he would not be included in the main passenger manifest. At 5:10 a.m, he waited for his name to be called out at the boarding gate.
Around 5:25 a.m, after filling up his departure card, he lined up at the immigration counter. The airline crew was calling for Hong Kong-bound passengers to board the flight, but Gaza insisted to fall in line since he needed to get onboard only in the last minute.
Gaza then confronted an immigration officer, removed his face mask and showed his passport and boarding pass.
The immigration officer told him that his name had “red flags,” referring to “three warrants of arrest, two bench warrants, and the execution of sentence.”
Gaza said he was fully-aware of the situation. He insisted that he was legally permitted to fly anytime, and that he had no hold departure order and was not in the watch list of the Department of Justice.
However, the immigration officer said she would immediately contact the Philippine National Police and airport police after crossing the counter due to protocol.
As he entered the boarding area, he heard the final call for his flight. Gaza was all settled and sitting when the cops arrived.
When the cabin crew called out his name, he stood up, rushed to the comfort room, and locked the door. After the “cross-check” announcement, Gaza was at ease and confident that all ground personnel were outside and that all doors were already closed.
He revealed that he “strategically” booked his Hong Kong flight ahead of his “decoy” flights so that the security would proceed in cross-checking the latter flights.
In the last photo, a selfie of him sitting, he said: “Last month, I made a very big decision sa buhay ko. Kailangan kong mamili kung tatanggapin ko ba ang conditional pardon deal kapalit ng serbisyo ko sa NBI Anti-Fraud Division for 5 years with watch list and hold departure order or simulan ko na ang citizenship application ko, with the help of my Singaporean boss, sa isang bansa sa Latin Americas at tuluyan ng iwan sa aking nakaraan ang bansang Pilipinas.”
“I chose the latter. New identity, new citizenship, new passport, new life. Thank you for the 25 years of memories my dear beloved Philippines,” he added.
A separate post the same day showed that he is in Singapore.
In June 2018, Gaza was found guilty of violating the Anti-Bouncing Check Law and was sentenced with five and a half years of imprisonment by the Malabon Metropolitan Trial Court.
Gaza became a social media sensation after asking out actress Erich Gonzales on a date in a coffee shop but was later rejected.
